Warhammer: Gotrek and Felix short story announced!

I woke this morning to a very pleasant surprise. My story for the upcoming Warhammer Anthology featuring the ever-popular duo, Gotrek and Felix, has been announced. The Funeral of Gotrek Gurnisson is my very first foray into the exciting Warhammer world and I hope it won’t be my last! My thanks to everyone at Black Library, especially Christian Dunn, for making this a reality. Huge thanks also to Nathan Long, who read my original pitch and made some great suggestions. It’s been a big challenge keeping my mouth shut for the past few months!

The second surprise of the morning is that an extract from my story is currently featured on the Black Library blog! As it’s the latest blog entry, that means it’s also appearing on the main site, which is very exciting as loads of people will see it. Go ahead and read the extract and let me know what you think! Here’s a direct link to the blog entry if it’s no longer on the main page.

Here’s the full ToC.

Some thrilling names to share anthology-space with there. I’m also delighted to see Jordan Ellinger included, who will be writing for World’s Collider.

Also, as you can see, the glorious cover art has been revealed. It really does look smashing.

I’m really excited about this one. Can’t wait to hold the book in my hands!
