Regular visitors to my site (Hi Mum!) will have noticed I've made a few changes around here. The major one being that I switched my Wordpress Theme. The old Grey backdrop with white text was getting somewhat tired, and it's not conducive to reading. So I searched for something clean and black-on-white and found Accesspress Lite, which I really like. The banner is nice but not yet clickable, and there's some back-end weirdness to overcome to get it to work. In general though I like the change and...

Fantasy For Good – Mega Update!
What's going on with Fantasy For Good?
It's been a while since I posted to my blog, for reasons that I'll not go into yet. Fantasy For Good, the charity anthology I'm editing with Jordan Ellinger, has not been neglected though. We've assembled a kick ass line up of established legends, modern trailblazers and new talent in an anthology that will appeal to all fans of the fantasy genre. All these great folks are joining us to raise money for the Colon Cancer Alliance.
In this update you'l...

Free Short Story!
Yes it's true, I'm hosting a short story on my site that is completely free. You can read it right now with no strings attached. There are no forms to fill out, no ads to click on, just a free read for all visitors to this site who might be interested.
The story is Yestermorrow, a time-bending SF tale that first appeared in Solaris Rising - the New Solaris Book of Science Fiction. It appears on this site with the kind permission of editor Ian Whates and Solaris head honcho Jonathan Oliver.

News, reviews and birthday blues…
Lots to catch up on. Firstly, a bittersweet day this past Wednesday. This site turned one year old and I tried to think of a fitting way to celebrate. Unfortunately, the day job intervened and I didn't have time, which is more or less the story of my life for the past eight months. Ho hum.
So happy birthday, website and I'm sorry the best I could come up with was a balloon image. You've done pretty well over the last year, and I hope you last for many more.

New banner time
I thought it was about time to update my banner with some more recent publications, and a couple of older covers that seem to balance well.
Of course, I have no artistic sensibilities whatsoever, so if you think it looks terrible by all means let me know.
I have seen the cover art for World's Collider, by the way, and it's gorgeous. Carolyn Edwards is a star. A big announcement is coming soon regarding this shared-world apocalyptic anthology. Not long to wait now, my lovelies.

Today I've posted the first in a series of interviews with World's Collider contributors. This week's victim... I mean interviewee... is Jonathan Green. He's famous you know.
Check out the interview right now. Go on, what are you waiting for? Solaris Rising reviews or something?

Iris: Abroad page updated
Yesterday I added some detail about the writing of Panda On Ice, my story for last year's Iris Wildthyme collection, Iris: Abroad. I also added quotes and links to reviews, and even some advice on writing. I don't feel qualified to give it but hey, it's free :)
You can find the page here.

New Website and New Short Story Collection!
This is an exciting day. Not only am I launching my brand spanking new website (maybe hold the spanking... for now), I am also announcing a new project!
World's Collider is a new collection of apocalyptic short fiction, which will be published by the awesome folks at Open Casket Press! This is my first editing gig since Transmissions and I'm absolutely dying to get stuck back into it again.
