Fantasy For Good - the paperback cover Yes it's true! The Colorectal Cancer Alliance has confirmed to our publisher, Nightscape Press, that Fantasy For Good - A Charitable Anthology has raised at least $10,290.82 for their outstanding organisation! I say at least because it's been a time-consuming challenge tracking down all the payments that go directly from Amazon to the CCA (Nightscape Press gets none of the proceeds from sales of this book, they all go straight to the charity). Shining Ones Go Shiny!
Monday saw the release of my first book in some time, and my first ever co-authored publication. Yeah, I should have posted something then but the day-job was kicking my backside. So, better late than never. Shining Ones features members of the Ogmios Directive, an off-the-books special ops team who solve messy problems at home and abroad that the British government would rather not have to be associated with. Way back in 2014, Steven Savile, author of the immensely successful thriller...More
A new book!
At last! I have a new book coming out! The Ogmios Directive is about to undergo a huge relaunch! That includes rewritten and reworked reissues of the first four books, a brand new series design and two all-new additions. One of which is co-written by me! Here are all the covers together. All very spiffy. And take a look at book number 5. Is that my name on the cover? I was beginning to forget what that felt like. Here's Shining Ones in all its individual glory. Love...More
Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything here. Not since last April in fact. I'm not dead, just been busy working on what's turning out to be a brand new phase of my writing career. Some of you may have read Silver by Steven Savile, the alliteratively compelling thriller that mixes Dan Brown with decent writing. If you haven't, then you should. Thriller fans loved this book and sent it to #2 on Amazon UK's Kindle chart. Savile's long awaited sequel to Silver, appropriately titled "Go...More
A fresh new look
Regular visitors to my site (Hi Mum!) will have noticed I've made a few changes around here. The major one being that I switched my Wordpress Theme. The old Grey backdrop with white text was getting somewhat tired, and it's not conducive to reading. So I searched for something clean and black-on-white and found Accesspress Lite, which I really like. The banner is nice but not yet clickable, and there's some back-end weirdness to overcome to get it to work. In general though I like the change and...More
This blog has been very quiet recently and for good reason. I've been working on a secret project that might well be my highest profile release ever, if I ever finish it. To say it's been a challenge is understatement of the year, but I'm getting on top of it and making inroads now. In the meantime, I wrote a new short story! Last year I was invited by World's Collider contributor and Pax Britannia creator Jonathan Green to write a story for his forthcoming anthology, Sharkpunk. This brand ne...More
Fantasy For Good – Mega Update!
What's going on with Fantasy For Good? It's been a while since I posted to my blog, for reasons that I'll not go into yet. Fantasy For Good, the charity anthology I'm editing with Jordan Ellinger, has not been neglected though. We've assembled a kick ass line up of established legends, modern trailblazers and new talent in an anthology that will appeal to all fans of the fantasy genre. All these great folks are joining us to raise money for the Colon Cancer Alliance. In this update you'l...More
